The Second & Seneca building is best known for its stunning emerald dome, a unique and colorful beacon of the Seattle skyline. Digital Kitchen partnered with local architecture firm, MG2, to reimagine the lobby space of this fifty year old building and create a unique public art experience. The results are a beautiful, digital installation that tells the stories of our city through the eyes of twelve local artists.

Our goal was to create a more meaningful lobby experience, one that supports local art and community. We chose twelve artists who were all different yet all connected by their Seattle roots. Each artist was commissioned to make an art piece inspired by their vision of Seattle and Digital Kitchen would bring these pieces to life through motion. This installation gives the building the ability to evolve and refresh their lobby experience throughout the year. It also provides a large scale platform for local artists to connect with a new audience.
